My goal is to become a true digital humanist and become a professor. I’ve always had an interest in videogames and the worlds one discovered and explored through them yet it always frustrated me throughout my childhood that the games were considered insignificant in comparison to literature just for their nature of being videogames. As an academic I’m really interested in studying not only how the medium shapes the work but also how the reality of the culture that receives the work shapes it as well. I’ve written a paper on Annie Abraham’s Separation for a master level course and I’m currently part of an archiving project of Jim Andrews “Arteroids,” directed by Dr. Leonardo Flores. I feel compelled to continue exploring e-poetry and also videogames that pose new challenges for analysis.
