Brooke Wooldridge is the Program Director for the Digital Library of the Caribbean (dLOC), a collaborative, open access digital library with more than 30 partners from across the region administered by Florida International University and the University of Florida. dLOC provides free online access to digitized versions of Caribbean cultural, historical and research materials currently held in archives, libraries, and private collections. Wooldridge promotes the activities of the collaborative initiative in many venues, trains project partners to contribute materials, develops digital humanities projects and creates linkages with outside organizations and institutions in support of dLOC’s mission. Wooldridge began working in the Caribbean in January 2008, when she became the project coordinator for the Digital Library of the Caribbean. She received her Master of Arts in Latin American & Caribbean Studies from Florida International University and a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish & Business Administration from Greensboro College.
